FAQ

Can physical therapy help after a C-section?

Yes! Physical therapy helps address scar mobility, core strength, pelvic floor function, and movement mechanics after a C-section. These factors are important for long-term recovery and injury prevention.

Do I need physical therapy if I had a “normal” delivery?

Even after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery, pregnancy and birth place significant demands on the pelvic floor and core. Physical therapy can help restore strength, reduce symptoms, and support a safe return to exercise.

When should I start physical therapy?

Whether you're pregnant or postpartum, it's never too late (or early!). Physical therapy can help you build strength and prevent symptoms during pregnancy, as well as recover and return to activity postpartum.

Can you help me return to running or strength training postpartum?

Yes! Returning to running or strength training postpartum isn't about just waiting until the 6-week follow up. We assess pelvic floor function, core strength, and movement patterns to guide you to a safe, progressive return to exercise.
